Ridgeway Occupational Consultants Inc. (“Ridgeway”) is an occupational medicine consulting firm and service provider owned and operated by Dr. Allan Rosenfeld. For over 25 years, Ridgeway has provided occupational medical services to a variety of organizations, including private corporations, manufacturing companies, municipalities, and universities.
Ridgeway’s disability and accommodation management services include short-term disability claim and accommodation request adjudication, long-term disability file review, return to work consultation, and disability and return-to-work case management.
Ridgeway designs and implements custom medical surveillance programs for employees exposed to designated substances, other dangerous substances, or consistently high noise levels. All programs are compliant with relevant legislation and meet best practices in the field of occupational health and safety.
Ridgeway provides onsite medical staffing for companies, with a highly-experienced occupational health nurse available for a set number of hours per week to offer services such as minor wound treatment, employee health check-ups, health coaching, biometric testing, AED maintenance, and health training.
Ridgeway offers health promotion services such as engaging presentations on a variety of health topics, flu shot clinics, and ergonomic assessments to identify and reduce musculoskeletal risks in the workplace. Their team also provides health coaching to employees to support their overall well-being.
Ridgeway provides customized medical exams for our clients’ entire employee base, or a specific groups of employees. Medical examinations can either be conducted on-site, or at Ridgeway’s clinic in West Mississauga. Types of exams include: assessment of injury or exposure to hazards, pre-placement or pre-transfer medical exams, return-to-work medical exams, periodic, planned medical exams and more.
With over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Health Physician, Dr. Rosenfeld is available for on-site or virtual occupational health and safety consultation. His areas of consulting expertise include disability management, absence management, the creation of occupational health and safety policy, and pandemic response.
